Love it but it needs minor tweaks

Pros: easy to use and super clean clothes

"This washer is simple to use which I love. It fits large loads of clothes and the wash times are not too long - great for this busy mom. The clothes come out much cleaner than my top loader, and it uses less water. I've also never had a problem with it being out of balance and bouncing all over kingdom come. I'm so thrilled with my washer.
The needed tweaks in my opinion are that I can only use the 'high' spin, otherwise the clothes are left with too much wather in them. Also, to avoid mildew from water droplets left on the door and rubber seal, after my last load is washed for the day, I either towel dry the door and rubber; or leave the door open to let it all dry out.
Lastly, I think all front-loaders are over-priced these days; they need to come down in price."

Great dryer

Cons: clothes are coming out too wrinkled
"I have really enjoyed this set, but am really glad I got the steam dryer. My only complaint is that sometimes my clothes come out very wrinkled - worse than they did with my old set. If I use the steam feature on them though, they come out great! Just not sure I should have to be using that so much though? I have only had the set for a month though, so hopefully I will get this figured out. I know it is not an overloading problem, as my loads are not all that big most of the time."

"Purchased with steam washer in Nov 2009.Very happy with washer and knew this would be icing on the cake.Best used for refreshing towels,enhanced touch-up for clothing.Leader in steam being introduced to dryer cycles.The sanitize feature which I neglected to mention on the washer rating my wife loves killing germs and bacteria is a must have. Reported to be 99.9% by the NSA.The lint filter is easy to clean and reach.Received a free dryer rack for shoes and sweaters from manufacturer mail-in offer.That was an unexpected bonus.We are very happy educated consumers."

The Homework Paid Off Twice

Pros: ability to upgrade to steam; large capacity
Cons: a bit deeper than old models so measure carefully
"When searching to replace my 18 year old Whirlpool pair, I looked at all brands and retailers. Whirlpool still offered me the best value, look and set of options of all I compared. The large capacity was critical for me -- I would easily be drying clothes for 3-4 hours (multiple small loads) from 2 loads of wash. So, getting the biggest size your budget will allow is important. The other great thing about Whirlpool is that it's one of the few brands that lets you upgrade one of the pair, and the look/size/etc. still matches. So, for not much more, I was able to get the Steam Dryer, realizing I was far more likely to need steam in the drying cycles, since the washer already has Sani-Cycle. I'm thrilled with the dryer, the pair, and what I paid. Having done all that homework, it was so easy to use AJ Madison's site. The availability is great, and the manuals are all online so we could read them ahead of time and see what we needed for installation (which saved us money in the longrun)."
