Great Washer

Pros: well built, glass door, feature ricj
Cons: noisy pump, expensive

"We've had the washer about a months now and really like it. It has even gotten all the nasty smell from the old moldy Maytag out of our clothes! Great machine -- go for it."

"It was so worth the extra dollars!! The quality of this machine is in a class by itself. There are no unnecessary features. Very high-tech with a common sense approach. The clothes are so incredibly clean, I am saving on bleach as it is not longer necessary to use. I've never been more pleased with an appliance purchase. This machine was built to hold up under heavy use."

"For comparison I owned a top end Asko 20605 for last 8 years. Its on it third motor [every two years],replaced entire electronic control panel and now the door hinge is coming loose and requires disassembling nearly the entire machine to get to the two loose nuts. Also makes a hell of a racket a full spin,never gets in good balance and walks around so I am always pushing it back to its corner.
No more Swedish junk! This new MIELE so far is wonderful. It is a bigger machine than the ASKO and heavier so at full spin you hardly know its running and very quiet. Nice big door, sturdy solid feel to everything,the soap tray even comes completely out for cleaning. The ASKO did not and had a hose attached at the back and always felt like it was tugging the tray back-annoying! The new honeycomb drum was very smooth from the factory and the drain holes are smaller than my last machine which should be a good thing for fabrics.
So far so good, time will tell about the machinery and electronics.
One point about the control panel though. Its upward face is great for viewing but the buttons are not sealed in the panel face.The small gap around them would seem to be debris/soap catchers, hope it is sealed well behind and easy to dissaemble to clean off after an accident or build up over time.
At first blush I'm very pleased with this washer,hope it lasts."
