replacement unit

"As a follow-up to my previous post...
I received my replacement unit and it works great. The temp is nice and cold - I actually turned it up from the coldest setting. There must have been a bad lot. Customer service at Summit was great, too.
Only negative was that the hole where the caster/foot is screwed into became detached, so it can;t be easily moved. Not a big deal for me."

Pros: looks great!, can fit two tall pony's, stainless steel floor is a nice add
Cons: no auto temperature setting, quality control could be improved
"To commend on the previous reviews capacity - I can fit two tall pony kegs in this kegerator. It is tight, but they fit.
My Fridge has problems with cooling down, but Summit is sending me a replacement. There are some things I found frustrating about this $1,300 appliance:
1. No auto temp setting - you cannot set this to a temperature just a warmer & cooler know
2. The CO2 is on the rear left of the fridge. The regulator hangs to the right (as supposedly all of them do), so it encroaches on your keg space. I had to turn the regulator upside down so it would be on the right and out of the way.
3. The door seals were terrible. There was a gap between the seal and the door for 30-40% around, so not a good seal.
4. This is not an auto-defrost unit so there is ice build-up and must be thawed. A big pain if you can't move the unit outside to drain - especially if you run two kegs and they aren't both empty.
5. The holes for the tower do not align. It doesn't matter, but why drill them incorrectly? Lack of quality control.
6. I had an incorrect unit sent to me that was not a built-in version. The product work looked shoddy. There was foam insulation coming out between the top and side of the unit and the unit itself was not square. I put on the casters and one of the wheels wouldn't even touch the ground even when unscrewed almost all the way.
Just be very detailed in your inspection of the unit before you install it.
I remain optimistic that the replacement unit will fix my cooling issues and would recommend this unit with reservations. Overall, I would expect some better thought about it's design and the quality control of their manufacturing. The unit looks great."

Need's another half inch

Pros: maintains temperature in 2 degree range
Cons: a little more space and it could hold two 1/4 kegs
"I replaced a Danby that failed with this Summit. The Summit appears to keep to a smaller range temperature wise than the Danby (35-37 as set now versus a 6 degree range with the Danby).
The tower holes did not match the holes in the top, and no holes existed in the top for the rail. Not a big deal.
I made a cardboard template of the bottom, and took it with me when I selected my kegs. It holds a 1/4 tall and a 1/6 tall with room to spare. It may hold two 1/4 talls but seemed too tight based on my template. No way for three 1/6s."
