Pros: looks good
Cons: does not work poor support through broan, "customer service"

"This unit did not work right out the box, neither the lights or fan control operate. (It appears that the control board does not funtion properly.) I have been trying for three weeks to get help through Broan "Customer Service" but to date no help. (I was told that they are having some trouble with the control boards in this model.) They do not have a rep in my area so I was told to find someone on my own and then contact them. No one in my area was willing to work on it; they said they are unable to get parts for a Broan. I located one of their reps about 50 miles away. Three weeks later, he still don't have the parts and this moring he said that Broan now needs the ser. no. of the unit before they can approve the work and send him the needed parts. What a run around."

"I love my Broan Allure II stainless steel range hood. The light levels are perfect for my kitchen and, when researching to do my purchase, I learned about sones. The hood works wonderfully and I'm so glad I went with A J Madison. Their price was right, service was great. I got it within a week in great condition and communication on their end keeping me posted every step of the way was great."

"This Range Hood removes LARGE quantities of kitchen odors and is (very acceptably) quiet. During installation I tested it by having my wife turn it on in the kitchen, on high, while I was working on its 6" ducting in a warm attic... and I used the cooler air coming out of the new 6" flexible duct..... to stay cool. It moves LOTS of air.The noise level(sones) on 'high'is very acceptable,' medium'even lower and on 'low' I cannot hear it.Bob C."

Cons: none really but be handy with tools

"installed mine in recirculation mode (no outside vent). Advertized as 300 cfm in high speed mode but in recirculation mode you need to install (easy) a steel band around the squirrel cage . It must surely drop CFMs proportionnaly (40%) so my 300 cfm machine probably runs at 180 cfms. In recirculation mode they tell you to use mostly speeds 1 and 2 (3 is kind of noisy anyway)
you also have to buy 2 charcoal filters which are likely to be expensive !! (going this afternoon)
All in all looks like a pretty good machine . No regrets yet !"

"I could't find this product in the home improvement stores in Denver. AJ Madison had them at a very reasonable price. They shipped the item quickly. It looks real nice above our new range. It has very good quality and really quiet. I would reccomend this rangehood over the others out there."

"Very quiet at low fan speed. Gets somewhat noisier at medium and high. That's as advertised. It provides really good light. So, all in all my wife, an avid cook, and I are pleased with the hood."

"I recently gutted my kitchen and started over - including the Range Hood.

The fan is quiet and I love the range in lighting this model offered.

I do have to say this was not the easiest to install ourselves. It required quite a few props, holds and shimmying to get it undermounted.

In the end though I have no complaints on it's performance, look and value."

"This range hood is many times better than the Kenmore product it replaced and matches my new stainless Kitchenaide stove perfectly.Fan is quiet and effective. 3 way variable controls for the fan and lights are very nice.Installation was a little more time consuming than I thought it was going to be, but the instructions were good and easy to follow. Use caution though, the edges of the wheel fan are quite sharp.Overall, a very good product. [...]"

"Does a great job, very quit on the 2 lower speeds.
The high speed is a lot quiter than my old hood. This unit replaced a 30 year old Broan hood.
I am very pleased with this unit."
