Fisher & Paykel Appliances designs, manufactures and markets a range of innovative household appliances developed with a commitment to technology, design, user friendliness and environmental awareness. On June 15th, 2006 Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings Limited announced that it has agreed to acquire the European cookware business Elba S.p.A from De'Longhi S.p.A for a purchase price of EUR78 million. The acquisition provides a more comprehensive range of kitchen products for distribution through the United States. The existing models have been completely restyled cosmetically to fit with the Fisher & Paykel brand and complement the current DCS range of products giving the customer a choice of styles.This freestanding range combines the convenience of a gas oven with the control and precision of an integrated four burner gas cooktop. A fresh, clean look reflects the latest design philosophies from Europe, featuring refined control knobs and easy to follow icons on a simple designer control panel.This model includes a range of gas burner sizes and powers for greater convenience and flexibility. Large, small and medium burners will suit any cooking style, from a fast stir-fry to a slow simmer.

Excellent Value

Pros: much better than the electric hobs i used for year
Cons: check all fittings. had a minor gas leak. but all, fine now.

"It fits well in my limited space. Looks better than picture.
Still learning to cook but I have the proper tool now to get on with my lessons."

24" Gas Range

Pros: easy to clean around eyes, wide range of cooking speeds & pot sizes, oven fan for more efficiency, two well designed sturdy cooktop grates
Cons: might need a little more range of heat in each eye

"This stainlesss steel gas range looks good & is
easy to clean. The grates remove allowing me
to spray on stainless steel cleaner and wipe clean.
The corners are rounded for easy access in
the cleaning process.

Each eye is designed for a pot size and cooking
speed, from very large size to small; from a lot of
heat to minimal heat.

Haven't used the oven yet but expect it will perform
well. The oven has a fan which should make it more efficient.

The two sturdy cooktop grates are well designed. They enhance the appearance of the range and hold
pots well.

Would recommend that a 24" hood vent be marketed with the range. My contractor found one made by Vent-A-Hood out of stainless steel that is excellent.

Small, sleek, solid

Pros: appearance, quality--solid sturdy, super heat output esp the 12000 burner
Cons: 3500 btu burner seems wimpy

"Very professional looking sleek design, but counter-depth and scaled for our tiny kitchen at lake cottage. Has a good solid feel, grids over burners are robust but don't weigh a ton, stainless finish is nicely brushed so won't show wear. Excellent heat output--the 12000 BTU burner is great. The 3500 BTU seems wimpy but may come in handy. Pared-down design has sturdy knobs, no flimsy electronic controls or touch-pad switches. Overall very satisfied with this addition to our little kitchen."

Powerful burners and sharp lines

"The range and oven have worked perfectly. The large burner boils water in no time, and the oven has produced great results.

This is one of few 22" ranges on the market, and it fits well in a NY apartment."
