"Don't let Avanti customer service scare you off. This little package is worth the money and a little mild aggravation if you like draft beer on demand. Once I figured out where to stick the tubes, regulators, big can of beer and other knobs and appliances, this mini keg beer dispenser operated flawlessly the first time and every time since its arrival. As you might have garnered from above, however, the instructions were confusing, contradictory and sometimes refered to features that no longer existed. Going online I found additional, contradictory information. Just to make sure I was really confused, I called customer service at Avanti and received even different information from some snotty young lady who could care less if I had a cold beer that night or ever.
The main issue revolved around the CO2 cartriges, their style, size, availability and fit. No body seemed to know if or what adapter could be used for the small cartrige or whether it was still recommended to use the large 12 Oz cartrige. I finally resolved the issue in favor of using the type of cartrige that came with the dispenser and abandoned the thoughts of using anything else. About an hour and a half out of might life - gone - never to be seen again because of the inadequacies of others. I don't think the people at Avanti are malicious or otherwise mean spirited. I just don't think they know any better. Anyway, my three stars go to the product itself which seems to well made and durable. I have received tons of complements and accolades from visitors to my abode that think that I'm pretty "schmart" for making this purchase. I like it."

"Nice unit but has some flaws that the manufacturer is trying to fix. After about (6) 5L kegs, the gasket where the CO2 cartridge is inserted starts to wear and then leaks. Called the Manufacturer and they have a different assembly which replaces the old one... backordered for 30 days.
If you bought an earlier version, the Heiniken adapter will not work and you will need to get the newer one from Avanti... backordered 30 days.
Also, check all your hose connections and verify that the hose is inserted correctly into the plastic connectors and re-tighted all plastic connections.
I like the unit and if Avanti gets it's act together, I would rate it 5 stars. This unit is what you need to keep the 'German' beers on tap."

Hazard warning arrives for new purchase

"The beer Keg dispenser was bought as a gift and hasn't been gifted yet. However, a warning has come from Avanti that a potentially hazardous situation might occur and they are sending me a new part asap. I'm still waiting for the part and don't like the fact I have to give a gift that needs to be fixed before it's used. I don't know if I would reccommend the Avanti beer keg dispenser as it hasn't been used yet and I wonder if there are other manufacturing flaws that won't appear immediately."
