KitchenAid Built In Dishwasher KUDC03IV

KitchenAid has spent decades creating innovative products for the well-equipped kitchen. From commercial grade cooktops and wine cellars to stand mixers and an impressive assortment of cookware, bakeware and accessories, they offer virtually every culinary essential you could need. Before their dishwashers clean your dishes, they test them beyond accepted industry standards. The result is a wash system that delivers exceptional cleaning performance in many notable ways. A signature feature of all KitchenAid dishwashers is their convenient in-dishwasher food disposer. During the cycle, food particles are collected, ground up, then filtered out of the dishwasher. There is no filter to clean by hand - removing a common source of unwanted odors. Simply put, the in-dishwasher food disposer minimizes unwanted steps - such as pre rinsing dishes - letting you take dishes straight from the table to the dishwasher. Another example of their commitment to higher standards is their stainless steel lower wash arms. Four arms release jets of water from then precisely angled locations. Continuously sending water to every corner of the tub ensures that even your large loads receive maximum coverage. And, because they're made of stainless steel, you can expect them to wear well over time. Their wash system is also designed to consumer's needs. This drives them to innovations such as their ProScrub option. The ProScrub option delivers exceptional cleaning performance during a Normal cycle with no added time or energy/water consumption. Powerful spray jets increase water pressure at frequent intervals and direct the water towards dishes loaded in the lower rack. The concentrated cleaning is ideal for stubborn messes that result from seared, baked on, or caramelized soils. With the increased intensity occurring only in a specific area, you can still clean delicate stemware in the same load.

Pros: energy star quiet dedicated drying element
Cons: none
" Although Kitchenaid and Whirlpool share some components there are unique differences that make a Kitchenaid a Kitchenaid. Kitchenaid uses a larger heating element and a different controller, It has a rope and pulley system for the door, it has four stainless steel spray arms. I do not understand why people give so much money for pricey foreign models, many of which do not even have a heating element for drying. You can always turn this one off but it really improves drying. This machine also has many American made components including the low watt motor manufactured by Emerson Electric. Many of the pricey foreign models require you to clean the filter but not this machine that uses a two motor system to backwash the filter and put captured particles down the drain. This machine utilizes superior engineering to meet Tier II Energy Star requirements such as sensor technology and partial water changes ensure clean dishes. "

Pros: quiet- cleans great
" Love this dishwasher. So quiet, you have to listen to make sure its on. Dishes come out sparkling. Hint: before you turn it on to clean, run the faucet that is attached to the dishwasher til water is hot. This cuts the time dishwasher is running. I love it and I always trust the Kitchenaid name. "

Great Value--KitchenAid Architect II KUDC03IV
Posted:7/22/09
Pros: great price, relatively quiet, stainless steel tub, dishes come out looking amazing, Energy Efficient
Cons: less cycle options, less quiet than pricier models
" I have been running this machine for several weeks, and have been very impressed. When researching dishwashers, I narrowed my choice down to the KichenAid brand based on quality for the price, and I am glad I made this choice. I almost went for the next model up that was supposedly quieter and had several more cycle options. While these features would have been nice, I find this to be very quiet, the dishes come out looking spotless, and the cycle choices are adequate for us. If you think you will need more features it may be worth paying $85 more but this is a great machine for the price. "
