Exhaust Pro
Pros: good exhaust for cooktop grilling, very quiet (with exterior fan)
Cons: nothing yet
" We replaced our 16 year old downdraft (300 cfm, under cabinet fan) with a new KitchenAid unit (900 cfm, exterior mounted fan) in a kitchen island. It's like night and day... this downdraft exhausts like a champ! I liked this unit for 2 reasons, first, the controls are on the top and side, so we didn't need to install a control pad in the (newly installed) granite counters. Second, since this unit exhausts on either side, we were able to vent the downdraft in a small sink base cabinet verses in the cabinet under the cook top. With the exterior fan, this downdraft is very quiet. We have been doing a lot of stove top grilling, and have not had any exhaust problems. "
