Awful!
Posted:1/22/11
Pros: looks great
Cons: performs so-so, fuses blow motor blown twice
"Purchased this in the summer of '09 and have had problems with it from the start. We rarely use it but from the start found problems. At first the push button start didn't always activate it to telescope up and start. Then it got stuck and wouldn't go down. We had a technician come out to repair and he had to change out the start button and the motor...both had failed. Now it's another year later and it's doing the same thing!! Except this time it's not under warranty. Save yourself money don't buy this product as it's most likely a design flaw or we just got a lemon."

"As far as a downdraft goes this one is good. They do not compare to the above stove but I cannot have one of those. I suffer from cheapmania and dont want to plumb so that way so this is great"

Cool Device
Posted:11/25/09
Pros: attractive/quiet
Cons: pricey/installation is challenging for a diy
"The vent was pretty easy to install - although the measurement instructions are somewhat difficult to understand. When activated it is taller than I imagined, but it is still very attractive. The fan is quiet (compared to our Jenn-Air downdraft we replaced). I recommend the vent, but it is pricey."
