Owned Product:2-3 years
Frequency of Use:Heavy
Would Recommend: No
Stopped working at 2&1/2 years old
Pros: looks nice and out of sight
Cons: not until the control board died after 2 1/2 years
"The Vent assmbly came up as usual, but when it was fully extended, the fan came on high without the switch being moved from the down or off position. The fan low/high switch did not make the fan motor slow down, and the the Up/Down button would not make the vent assmbly retract.
Repair folks say main control board INSIDE the unit is bad. Requires the electric stove top to be removed and the vent assmbly to be removed along with all the associated hard wired connection for both the electric stove top and the whole downdraft vent assembly.
including going under the house to dis connect the vent to line from the underhouse vert line which is \\sealed in a insulated vent run.
Cost to repair will be close to the original cost when new,
