Pros: sleek attractive modern design, not too noisy, easy to clean, easy bag removal
Cons: had to replace motor before 1 year, no extra pack feature, little too pricey for a basic compactor
"A major con was that just one month before the manufacturer's warranty was up the motor started going out. We didn't quite know just what was wrong with it until it totally died 4 days before the one year was up and the repair guy came out and diagnosed the motor was bad. Which would of cost us $150 to replace if it was after the warranty.
I also don't like that it doesn't have an extra pack feature like our old one had. You can push the off button right before the compactor comes back up like it states in the owner's manual but the repair guy said it isn't the best thing for the motor to do that. grrrrr!
Also, this model is a little pricey to just squish garbage every now and then being you can't extra pack but is nice to have instead of an ugly garbage can in the kitchen."
