Pros: beautiful and we like it when it works properly! Cons: we have had a service repairman out 4 times since, july. the freezer wil freeze up and the fridge, heats up.
"We build a home in 2008 and moved in Feb. 2009. We carefully selected all our new appliances from reviews. Thus we pick this refridgerator. It is beautiful and did well until July 4! Since then we have had constant problems. We don't think this is common, but, here it is the middle of Oct. and we are getting ready to go for the Lemon Law."

Goof as I expected

Pros: very convenient all food visible, various useful features Cons: the temperature not even in the fridge, my big pan with a handle does not fit
"I have this fridge only for couple months. It is very convenient that the shelves are transparent and internal lighting is very good so you can see everything inside. The cooling is good. The indicators stay firmly at the temperatures that I set - 0 in the freezer / 37 in the fridge. The only bad thing is that there are places in the fridge where the food freezes a little bit. I expected that from the reviews. I just had to learn to keep the vegetables inside the vegetable drawers, then they are fine, and the drawers are big enough."

Pros: water and ice dispenser rocks! Cons: hate the tape that they use all over the front
"The fridge itself is excellent. Love the water/ice dispenser elements including dispensing the exact measured amounts (for baking, filling up your water bottles, keeping track of your water intake).
I hated the fact that they wrap the stainless steel fridge with this sticky tape that is a major pain in the butt to get off!
Also, AJ Madison needs to hire more customer service reps. I called them to order, check on order, and to find out where my extended warrant info was. Each time I waited on hold 15-30 mins. That is unacceptable!"

Pros: attractive especially being only counter-depth Cons: much more expensive than older deeper design
"We had to move our old unit to a rental, so decided to upgrade to a counter-depth unit. This one looks very good, doesn't intrude on the floor space, and is taller. Overall, we have the same capacity, but with shallower shelves, so more is visible. The black panels are not textured, but still don't show fingerprints. The water/ice dispenser is very convenient, including the ability to measure the amount of water dispensed. The crush is to medium size. It is Energy-star certified, but I have no way of knowing if it is more efficient than most. The temperature controls are convenient and seem accurate. All in all, we're pleased but for one issue: getting counter-depth adds about $800 compared to conventional depth, all other features being comparable."

"Great value, great refrigerator. Whirlpool has one of the lowest repair rates among all brands, and this was the largest cabinet-depth 2008 Energy Star refrigerator I could find. Also offers every extra feature you can think of, from crushed ice to pull-out shelves and a water/ice dispenser shelf that holds coffee pots and dog bowls if you pull it out. Filtered water tastes great and the extra freezer space is superb. Considering the savings on the free delivery and sales tax (our local sales tax is 8.25%), I saved hundreds. Allow about three weeks for delivery though; the sales people can be overly optimistic. Arrived well packed and completely undamaged."
