"Fridge came wraped with sticky clear wrap and when I took it off, it seemed that it damaged the paint job. Found a few scratches underneath the sticky wrap too. The fridge still has frozen condensation on the inside back of the fridge - can't get rid of it."

Sweet Fridge Posted: 10/6/09
Pros: capacity low noise great performance
Cons: not in more appliance stores

"Great performance, quiet and deceptive capacity. We are able to fit more product into this fridge than our old bottom freezer model that was rated at 20 cu. ft. Very happy with this unit."

Very Nice Posted: 9/7/09
Pros: looks function price size
Cons: interior light could be brighter

"I looked for a counter depth fridge, but not one of the GIANT ones with twenty something cubic feet. Found this online, and after seeing a competitor locally, (blomberg), I saw how big it would be. I ordered this one, as it was slightly over half of what they wanted for the Blomberg, though it was identical in size, and almost a twin in appearance. Couldn't see paying the difference. It is VERY quiet, most of the time you can't even tell its there. Goes very nicely with my jennaire stainless pro style range. It holds SO much, more than you would think. For 1-3 people, I can't imagine needing anything larger than this, and it doesn't use much energy, even got $75 back from my utility company."

"Wanted to change the way the doors were hinged which the book said you could do. The directions steps were in fact backwards which took my son and me a long time to figure out."

Tall and lean! Posted: 6/22/09
Pros: quiet. pretty. simple
Cons: small freezer. even smaller if you get ice maker.

"This fit perfectly in my space. The freezer shrinks quite a bit if you get the icemaker, but I wanted one. The inside is simple but functional. No interior refrigerator fan so temps vary from top to bottom but once you figure out your colder "zones" it's great. Very quiet. No running exterior condenser fan so all heat is dissipated via the rear mounted coils on most of the rear of the unit. Almost like a big tall Coleman cooler that plugs in. If you want bells and whistles...do not buy this unit. If you have a specific tall thin space and don't care about bells and whistles, this is the unit. Also, it looks great in Stainless! And magnets stick to the front and sides."

great fot nyc apartments Posted: 6/17/09
Cons: bit overpriced but great sizing.

"upper mount fridge lends to better organization so you actually fit a lot!
i opted to remove and store the wine botle rack.
replaced an 18 cu/ft with minimal adjust save for omitting one drawer in the freezer section.
plastic flashing on edges of glass shelves not really sealed to the glass.

Great Fridge Posted: 1/5/09
Pros: great size sleek looks quiet operation price

"This fridge is a lot bigger than I expected. Very good looking and plenty of room for a two-people household. Very quiet running. Occasionally makes a very low and funny gurgling sound. Fingerprints were an early issue until I cleaned it with olive oil per a friends recommendation and now it stays pretty much fingerprint free. The one thing I find odd is that the (inside) back wall of the fridge has beads of water on it. I wipe them off, but to no avail. Also, it would be great if you could order it with left or right hinged doors rather than having to do that yourself. The instructions for changing the handles were terrible!"

Pros: size; style; quiet
Cons: dim interior light; no freezer light; exposed coil, cheap plastic edging on glass shelves

"After searching for a reliable fridge that was stylish, sized right, not outrageously priced, I decided on the Summit FFBF28 based on other user reviews and the reputation of Summit. It is the perfect size, nice looking and quiet. My only beef is that it could be made a little better for the money. The coils are exposed on the back, the trim on the glass shelving is uneven and a bit warped, the inside light is dim and there is no light in the freezer. That being said, I absolutely love the look and the size. It is super quiet compared to my old fridge and I can find things in it. I purchased the model with the icemaker but haven't hooked it up yet, so can only hope it works. Time will tell how it holds up. AJ Madison provided excellent service and I would not hesitate to buy from them again."

Beautiful skinny fridge Posted: 8/25/08
"I was hesitant to buy this fridge b/c I had never heard of the company and couldn't get to a retail store to see one in person. I've had it for a month now and am smitten with it. It's a gorgeous fridge with smart design. Its handles are perfectly placed to keep hands (and thus fingerprints) off its face. The compressor is nearly silent; I have a tiny studio--the fridge is practically next to my bed--but I've never been bothered by its sounds. I like that the freezer is made of three separate compartments--these let me use the whole volume. And the fridge space is ample."

"Perfect for our small kitchen" Posted: 8/12/08
"The narrower counter depth design of this refrigerator was just what we wanted to improve the traffic flow through a small kitchen in a vacation home. Interior design allows for enough storage and easy access to all the typical items a young family needs to have on hand. Unit runs quietly."

Just what I needed! Posted: 7/29/08
"This is the perfect frig for my narrow galley kitchen. There are two people in my house and there is plenty of room for all we need. Very easy to rearrange shelves and it's so great to see everything inside-no losing things for months that get hidden in the back! On the negative side, the light in the frig is very dim and there is no light in the freezer. If you keep a lot of frozen food, this is not the freezer for you. Yes, there are three compartments, but the top compartment is taken up by the ice cube trays(I do like having that seperate compartment) and is about 4inches high underneath that. The second compartment is larger but doesn't have the whole depth of the frig and the bottom drawer is a tilt-out with hardly any depth. So, no loading up on the frozen pizza sale! The last thing I was completely unaware of, is that the back of the frig is completely open-the compressor area is uncovered-so you will need to be vigilant about pulling it out to clean if you have pet hair flying around.(Plus side, sooo easy to move around)There also is a black wire rack the whole length of the back. The side of my frig faces my living area, so it's not great to look at. I'm having the cupboards redone soon, so that will definately be part of the fix. On the whole, I'm very happy with this frig, two people can actually get in and out of my kitchen at the same time!"

"This is a wonderful refridgerator on all levels. There is plenty of well designed storage, small footprint in the design, effecient and runs beautifully! It's also a good looking appliance. We get a lot of comments from friends who admire it. The design is what I love most. The layout is logical, there is no wasted space and there is room for everything we need. [...]"

Design is superb. Posted: 1/22/08
"The custom size was what we were looking for. It is sleek and unobtrusive in our unusually rectangle-shaped kitchen. Fridge on top and freezer on the bottom - all refridgerators should be made this way. There is no more kneeling to get forgotten food out of an overly expansive refridgerator. We highly recommend this one for those who love convenience and practicality without huge space needs! AJ Madison was helpful and delivery was quick."
