Electrolux Dual Fuel Double Oven
Posted: 11/3/09
Pros: accepts lp gas. two sliding racks a plus., convection oven cooks very nice., many options on key pad Cons: bottom oven light does not work independently., bottom oven is not self cleaning., third rack not on sliders., open top oven lights both ovens
"We have had some problems with the product. We can not fit into our space. We can not match cook top flush onto our countertop. One of the burners came to us without one oriface able to receive gas. Cast Iron grates crooked. Design of bottom oven does not allow us to open the draw without it hitting the floor."

Pros: btu output easy glide racks many options
"I researched ranges for several months and decided to buy the Electrolux for several reasons. I am a retired chef and BTU output is my #1 priority. There is no other range out there that offers this much cooking power unless you want to lay out a huge amount of money for a commercial range. Of course you have to give up the pluses of easy glide racks, self cleaning , and the many cooking options the oven offers. The Electrolux range is way ahead of the competition and I recommend it highly !"

Pros: design ball bearing racks full grates across top, dual fuel dual oven Cons: price packaging tape residue on stove
"Superior design-grates fully across top, control panel that faces up and not out for easy viewing, great interior lighting, slide in with flanges cover counter tops on both sides so no "crumbs" fall in between counter and stove, ball bearing racks are smooth as silk. Electrolux does not allow retailers to discount. Only Electrolux gives meager discounts. BUT, we got what we paid for, and love it. Tape that was used to affix last minute intructions sheets to stove left a residue. We reluctantly used Goo Gone, and it worked fine without leaving any marks. Just clean up with some stainless cleaner/polish and you're good to go."

Excellent choice!

Pros: solid construction excellent performance, heat output and precision Cons: recessed glass touchpad worried about, potential spills or dropping pot on surface
"We purchased ours a month ago. It replaced a 6-year-old JennAir downdraft. I am SO glad to have all four burners back, now!
The low simmer burner is magnificient, it works exacly as designed and keeps everything from small sauce pans to cast iron dutch ovens just warm, without burning the food. All the other burners can blast out some heat, I had to learn to pay attentiont the burner size, it actually makes a difference on this stove!
I love the lower oven, it's perfect for heating up something like chicken nuggets for the kids, without having to waste a lot of energy heating up the main oven. The racks are wonderful and the oven heating is very precise and accurate.
This stove takes a bit longer to clean, but it does clean easily. The black finish shows streaks more than the stainless finish on our old stove, I guess.
The touch panel is simple and intuitive but its design or placement could be a little better. A flush surace would have been better than the slightly recessed one with the gasket seal, or the controls could have been angled away from the top.
I also love that there is plenty of surface area on the grates. Pot handles can be turned inward without heating up, so much safer than having them stick over toward the countertops. There's even enough room for 4 stock pots at a time (yes, I checked).
We were hesitant to go with Electrolux but this model met all of our requirements including budgetary and we've been very pleased so far."

In LOVE with`. . . .

Pros: everything Cons: expensive.....but worth every dollar
"I absolutely love this range. The oven lighting is space age and the blue enamel inside is stunning. It is easy to program and has ton of option. I can use it and I haven't even read the entire manual. The racks glide out and I mean glide.....The oven door stays open at any angle and this oven is a JOY to use! Everything from pies to roasts have cooked evenly and perfectly. The cook top is fantastic and I even got a griddle for the center! I haven't used the lower oven for baking yet, but if it is anything like the rest of the range, it will be terrific."

greatest convection oven
Posted: 1/25/09
"Very clean lines, wave touch worth the extra money. The clean panel that only appears when needed gives it a nice uncluttered look.
The convection oven cooks more evenly than any other range I have used. The perfect turkey button works as advertised."
