"I have a 500 sq. ft. room above a garage where I installed this product. So far this winter, I keep the unit on 65 degrees when I am not out there and it uses barely any energy. Great buy."

"received order much more quickly than expected. Had previously bought a fridgidaire wall unit that I had to return. This carrier works great. We are only in the summer, so we will see about winter with the heat function, but so far, so good. It works great and it was more affordable than other places I checked on."

"These AC units are used in our motel in Page, AZ. These units install easily into our existing wall openings and 230V outlets. No additional trim needed. Units operate quietly and efficiently."

Carrier AC-Heater

"So far so good. This is the second unit I have purchased. One is 3 years old, the other virtually brand new. The unit is pretty quiet, and works great as an AC. The heater doesn't exactly crank out super hot air, but it does keep the room warm like it is supposed to. The installation is pretty straight forward and the trim kit fit my GE sleeve like a glove. [...] The price of the AC/heater was the best I could find (and cheaper than it was 3 years ago)."

"THE CARRIER AIR CONDITIONER PLUS HEATER WALL UNIT IS QUIET AND VERY EFFICIENT. HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ELECTRIC BILL YET BUT WITH THE COOL WEATHER WE ARE HAVING IN VT WE HAVE NOT HAD TO USE IT MUCH. THIS IS OUR SUMMER HOME AND WE ADDED A NEW BEDROOM. THE COMBINATION AIR & HEAT WAS JUST THE TICKET TO MEET OUR NEEDS. NOW WE CAN JUST CLOSE THE DOOR AND HEAD SOUTH IN THE WINTER AND NOT PAY FOR HEAT (AS WE DO KEEP HEAT ON LOW ALL WINTER IN THE HOUSE)."

"I thought installation would be hard but it slipped right in and is great. The instruction book was a little over done with multiple kinds of installation. The a/c and heat both provide enough to take care of one of my rental cabins about 300 square ft. I'll buy more of the same as the need arises."

"I used this unit to replace an outdated through-the wall unit. Overall, the product seems to function well although it has only been in use for a couple of weeks. The unit heats well but the fan is a bit noisy. In addition, the digital controller for the thermostat is noisy and you can hear it clicking constantly. I haven't tried the cooling function yet. Installation was easy; however, the instructions for installation of the sleeve and unit were lacking in detail...first time installers might have some difficutly."

"I bought this Carrier unit to replace an older unit. I use it to heat and cool a 16 X 18 foot family room addition. I set it at 69 degrees on low and it is amazing at how well it warms the room. It turns itself off when the room reaches the desired temperature so I don't have to listen to the fan running all the time. Even with the fan running, the unit is much quieter than the last unit. I also love the remote control feature.
If this unit cools in the summer as well as it heats in the winter, I'll be a very satisfied customer. I haven't received an electric bill since the installation, but this unit is one of only a few units with the energy star rating, so I'm hoping it's economical too."

"I bought this unit for a 12' by 22' room which is used as a lounge and office. It has a little higher cooling BTU than required for that size room, but it is the lowest cooling BTU in a unit (that fit the opening in the wall) that also functioned as a heater. I ordered the matching sleeve and that made installation fairly easy. The installation instructions assume you've done this kind of job before, but it wasn't too hard to figure it out. The unit incorporates some nice features such as auto fan and digital temperature setting. It does maintain the room temperature according to what you set. It's only downside is the air stream can only be directed in one direction, but in my size room it's not a big deal. Works really well as a heater. It is pure resistance heat, so it's not terribly efficient. But, again for the room size it's not a big money user. Did buy the aluminum exterior grill and it is much nicer that the kinda flimsy one supplied with the sleeve. Would buy again. [...]"
